How to Play
Cock & Bull has two main parts to it – a dance with Lady Luck and a chat with Wit. That is to say, you roll some dice and then either “Peg-Out” or “Chip-In”. You win once you either get your peg to the end of the board, or you cover all of the symbols on top of the board with your chips!
While there is some strategy, the dice dictate your possible actions, so luck better be on your side! Each player rolls two dice on their turn, getting one of 6 combinations, as illustrated on the right.
A cock-and-monkey or bull-and-monkey mean your turn is over and you immediately pass the dice to the other player.
A cock-and-bull lets you remove the other players chip or move your peg one spot forward.
A cock-and-cock lets you either place a chip on the cocks on the board or replace the opposing players chip with your own, or if your chips already cover all of the chickens, you get to move your peg up two spaces!
Its practically the same for a bull-and-bull, except you cover bulls instead of chickens, and move three pegs instead of two.
The illustrious money-and-monkey is the hardest to get, but worth the most. If you get one, you can place a chip on the crown, or move up 6 whole pegs!
